Growing Up

Growing up, I was only exposed to images of women that were on the covers of magazines and tv shows.

I am 19, 5'9" and I am currently 150lbs.

They were all the "perfect" stick skinny size 0. I grew up thinking that all women were suppose to look like that, and if you don't, it meant you were ugly.

Society shows pictures of women that are very unrealistic. They are all photoshopped, airbrushed, or unhealthy and underweight.

After suffering from a serious eating disorder since I was 10 for 9 years, I am still on the road to recovery. Recovery is not going to be an easy journey but exposing yourself to real bodies is a start to accepting yourself.

This website helps me realize that women comes in all shapes and sizes! Curves are beautiful. Love yourself.
